Taekwondo made its debut as an official Olympic sport at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. It is now also a Commonwealth Games sport.  At London 2012 Olympic Games British athlete Jade Jones won a Gold medal. Taekwondo is a safe sport and can be practiced by everybody, either competitively or for fitness.
